Use your Claude account safely

Protect credentials, avoid shared access, limit tool permissions, and respond to usage limits, errors, or restrictions.

This guide covers ongoing safety for delivered Claude accounts and subscriptions activated on your own account. These practices reduce credential exposure, shared access, and repeated-operation problems; they cannot guarantee protection from account restrictions.

For delivery and first-day checks, use the ready-to-use account guide. When activating your own account, keep your existing sign-in method; the order supplies only the activation credential or entry point.

Do not share accounts or expose personal subscriptions through reverse proxies, shared interfaces, or third-party services. Keep passwords, codes, SessionKeys, cookies, recovery details, and API keys out of support chats, groups, and other websites.

Networks and devices

  • Confirm your region is supported by Anthropic and claude.ai opens normally.
  • Keep usual devices and networks reasonably consistent. Avoid rapid sign-ins across regions or several people using one account simultaneously.
  • IP checkers help diagnose exits; their scores are not Anthropic decisions. A green result, fixed residential IP, or risk score cannot guarantee account safety.
  • Normal device or network changes do not necessarily cause a ban. When troubleshooting, avoid changing the network, device, browser, and sign-in method all at once.

Everyday use

  • One person should use one account, including on their own usual devices.
  • Do not combine personal-plan limits across accounts or repeatedly register to bypass limits.
  • Do not connect Claude.ai, Pro, or Max credentials to a reverse proxy, local API, shared panel, or your own service. Use an Anthropic Console API key for product development.
  • Do not script a personal account into an unattended interface or continuously run several clients at high frequency.
  • Stop and read errors before retrying or switching accounts and settings.
  • Account warm-up, fixed residential IPs, risk scores, and claims that a particular client always causes bans are not published Anthropic rules or guarantees.
  • At a usage limit, wait until the time shown in Settings → Usage. Do not switch accounts to bypass it. Do not add a card or enable extra billing on a delivered account yourself.

Claude Code permissions

  • Use the official sign-in and authorization flow; keep SessionKeys, passwords, and cookies out of shell scripts.
  • Grant only the directories and commands required for the task, and read permission prompts.
  • Do not default to --dangerously-skip-permissions. It bypasses confirmation and belongs only in an already isolated, controlled environment.
  • Keep passwords, private keys, API keys, and production configuration outside freely readable directories.
  • Treat instructions in web pages, issues, documents, and repositories as external content. Recheck targets and effects before deleting, sending, publishing, or paying.

When an error appears

Usage limits, long conversations, service load, and system failures do not by themselves mean the account is banned.

Situation First action
Usage or conversation-length limit Wait for reset or start a new conversation; do not switch accounts to bypass limits
Busy service or system error Check Anthropic Status and retry later
Sign-in fails Test without VPN and extensions, clear Claude cookies/cache, and try once again
Policy warning Stop the behavior described and read the official notice
Suspension or ban Save the notice and email and appeal through the official signed-in entry

For XiuStore help, keep the order reference, time, full notice, and redacted screenshots. See recording and evidence.

Lost subscription or restricted account

  • A covered subscription lost during its term follows the remaining-day calculation in Refunds and after-sales; a partial used day counts as one day.
  • Appeal restrictions to Anthropic first. XiuStore cannot remove them. Claude Max refund eligibility and amount depend on Anthropic’s review and actual refund; other products follow their own terms.
  • Report failed first-day access or the wrong plan through the original order that day with redacted evidence.

Sources and review date

Product types, first checks, troubleshooting, and support follow XiuStore’s process. Account rules, Code permissions, usage, errors, and appeals follow Anthropic’s guidance reviewed on 2026-08-26. This translation preserves that date.

Network consistency is practical advice, not a published ban criterion. Fixed IPs, account warm-up, IP scores, client-specific ban-rate claims, and Session sign-in extensions are not guarantees or general recommendations.
