Register, sign in, and activate ChatGPT

This guide covers personal ChatGPT registration, sign-in, XiuStore delivery, plan verification, and common sign-in problems. Check OpenAI’s current region and account requirements before acting.

Before registering

• Be in a currently supported country or region.
• Be at least 13 or the applicable minimum age for consent; users under 18 need a parent or legal guardian’s permission.
• Use an email or third-party sign-in account you can access long-term.
• OpenAI’s reviewed guidance does not require a phone number for ordinary ChatGPT registration and use; creating a first developer-platform API key still requires phone verification.
• If subscribed already, check the plan, purchase source, and expiration first.
• Allow cookies and JavaScript in the browser.

As reviewed on 2026-08-02, mainland China was not on ChatGPT’s supported-region list. A reachable network exit does not establish official account support. Accessing or providing access from an unsupported region can lead to blocking or suspension.

Register

1. Open ChatGPT sign-in and choose email/password or Continue with Google / Microsoft / Apple.
2. Use your long-term account and complete the verification requested by the page.
3. Start with free features, open a conversation, and check the account menu shows the correct identity.

Remember the registration method and use it again for later sign-ins. Apple Hide My Email may associate the account with an @privaterelay.appleid.com address.

Choose a XiuStore product

For Plus, Pro, or another plan, check whether the option activates your account, uses Session redemption, or delivers another account. Submit data only as directed by the order on the designated XiuStore page.

For a delivered account, sign in on your own device and check its identity, plan, term, and the security details the order permits you to change. Current product and order pages determine delivery, price, and warranty.

Complete activation or delivery

1. Open My orders after purchase.
2. Identify whether the delivery is a code, activation on your account, Session redemption, or an account.
3. Submit a Session only on the designated redemption page. For a delivered account, sign in on your own device.
4. Check the active identity and permitted security changes.
5. Return to the official ChatGPT account and check its plan, status, and expiration.

Success means the correct official account shows the ordered plan and the subscription-management page shows its status or term. An order marked complete does not replace that check.

Use the account safely

• Submit Sessions, passwords, or codes only when explicitly required on a designated XiuStore page.
• Keep credentials out of support chat, groups, email, and other pages.
• Check identity, plan, and term on your own device after delivery.
• Do not share one account simultaneously among people or hand a signed-in browser profile to a third-party tool.
• Keep the order reference and redacted notice when contacting support.

Troubleshoot sign-in

1. Use the original registration method.
2. Clear ChatGPT-related cookies and cache.
3. Try a private window or clean browser profile.
4. Temporarily pause ad, privacy, or script blockers.
5. Allow cookies and JavaScript for ChatGPT, OpenAI, and the authentication pages.
6. For Cloudflare loops, follow OpenAI’s sign-in troubleshooting, including testing without VPN/proxy on a trusted network.
7. For suspicious-sign-in notices, stop attempts, wait up to one hour, and use one trusted device and network.
8. If it still fails, check OpenAI Status.

Avoid rapidly switching devices, networks, and sign-in methods. Use account troubleshooting for problems that span several services.
